Aloha kakahiaka [good morning]!

I feel special today.

I woke up without shooting pain in my back for the first time in more than a week!  I started the day nourishing my wonderful body with a warm, wholesome breakfast in the company of my best friend/husband.  I left home and drove to work with the most gorgeous view of the West Maui Mountains and Moloka`i I’ve ever seen.  Mama Girlie gave me the angel cards Patience + Tenderness today.  I had a meaningful heart-to-heart with a beautiful co-worker.

Miracles are surrounding me. There’s snow atop Haleakala – our 10,000 ft. dormant volcano – this morning!

[Image source.  I can only remember snow on Haleakala a few times in my life – probably all during La Nina years.  It’s quite the drive to get to the top of the mountain, so most people very rarely make it.  Regardless, you should hear the buzz happening – I heard one of my coworkers on the phone with her family in Kaua`i saying “we have so much snow we don’t know what to do with ourselves!  It’s outrageous!”.  You can tell by the photos that her comment is a bit of an over-statement (not to mention it’s still about 75 degrees outside), but for us this is a lot of snow!]

. . .

There are also miracles happening at our home! Like the beginning of a pineapple,

harvesting our first full-grown carrot (check out how happy that carrot is!),

[Ben + I agreed that if/when we renew our vows, I’m going to carry a tuber bouquet down the aisle.]

the sweet smell of lemon blossoms,

vibrant green grass from all these days of rain,

and gifts from an awesome Dad!

[when Dad gave me the eggs he said, “careful, yeah, cause there’s also roosters on the property.  If you see feathers, don’t eat it.”  Got it. He also had a successful dive and brought over two lobsters :)]

And I’ve still got the entire day ahead of me!  There is [always] so much to be grateful for!

What miracles surround you today?
