Simplify.

I am so sorry for being missing in action for over a week. 

While I wish I could offer a ton of amazing photos – or even words – of what I’ve been doing, the truth is that I haven’t been doing much of anything. 

I’ve been in a bit of a funk, which could only mean one thing: I’ve needed to hunker down, lay low, and simplify life for a few days. 

I’ve spent the majority of the past week or so around the house [the sweet family who shares the property with us is moving soon, so we’ve been getting in as much quality time as possible].  We’ve all been feasting on our bounty of star fruit, tangerines, and papayas…

I’ve also done a bit of hiking in the forest…

and spent long afternoons on the deck with the love of my life, watching sunsets.

Obviously, nothing too exciting is happening over here.  But sometimes it’s necessary to take a step back and let life just be simple for a while. 

I’ll be back soon enough with the regularly-scheduled blog posts, but until then I hope you take a sec to enjoy the small things, too!

    We’re in a similar way around here too. While we managed to get out last night, tonight it’s all about staying in.

    BTW, love that forest for hiking. We call it “The Fairy Forest.”
