New Beginnings

Hau’oli Makahiki Hou friends!

As you can see, I’ve been busy changing a few things around here. Winking smile  I was hoping to get much more done while on vacation than is actually possible with a 6 month old [live and learn], but I’m grateful to at least have the main components of the new site up and running!

So often I’m held back by fear of the unknown or fear of failure.  I want this year to be the year I take risks and create opportunities for myself that I would typically be too timid for.  This is why two of my main goals for this new year are to take action on my ideas and to live fearlessly.

Simple Yet Significant is one of those ideas.

I’ve always loved my tagline “living a simple yet significant life” more than the actual blog title Green Plate Dinners.  I felt like it fit the theme of the blog better and made more sense, it just never seemed like a good time to get the domain name changed, so I kept putting it off.  And I think it’s been an excuse for me to hold myself back from really giving 100% to the blog.

So, it’s time.

The new year marks a new chapter for this lady.  And her family.  And her writing.  And, well, just about everything.  I’m ready to get out of this postpartum depression funk and start living the significant life I’m meant to live once more!

I really hope you’ll join me.  It wouldn’t be the same without you!

  • Because the domain name is different, you’ll need to re-subscribe to the blog [you can do so by clicking on this link].  For now, you’ll be automatically taken to the new site, but eventually greenplatedinners will fail to exist, so it’s super important that you re-subscribe!
  • And because I’m trying new things and taking action on my ideas, I’ve made both a twitter and facebook account for Simple Yet Significant.  You can friend me and/or follow me using those links.  [FYI, I’ve never ever used Twitter before, so I’m pretty slow with the technology, hah… if anyone’s up for teaching a sister what to do, let me know. Winking smile]

Still lots of work to do on the blog, but I’m so excited for what’s to come!

We’re still in Seattle for a few more days, but I hope that you are all having a wonderful New Year!

Big love!

Aloha Pumehana. Whether you’re here to find balance, wholesome recipes or inspiration, I hope you enjoy the posts.  Please subscribe to Simple Yet Significant to receive automatic updates and be the first to read new posts for free!
